Education
Enlightening one another as we’re either navigating our careers or transitioning to retirement life. Oftentimes, many of us are just not well informed. Some only have limited access to the tools we need to do our job or equip us to move on from it. In our organization, all executive board members and members contribute in various ways. With different educational backgrounds, experiences and the ambition to help the collective you’ve come to the right space.
Mentor
"People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel” – Maya Angelou. It is important to our organization to have women who have a love for mentorship. We’re all created to be included in a healthy community so that we can pour into each other. Women in Correction is the community for women to flourish. We constantly encourage experienced trusted women to serve WIC by becoming a mentor.
Throughout the year we are heavily involved in community service and scholarship events. We enjoy participating in local fundraising events that support research, education and various programs. We gear up on our Women in Correction appeal and it is a concerted effort to support our communities.
